Artist's Comments

This is Zoe, played by Gina Torres. I had a lot of trouble capturing her skin tone, and Ive been working on this one for about 3 weeks now. I finally got it to a point that I thought it was worthy...lol

Used graphite, white colored pencil, and tweaked the contrast in PSP a bit. Also, this is 50% of its size, as I've had some complaints about my file sizes

oh wow, the lips are absolutely stunning! Many people think it's the eyes that are the hardest, and they can be, but the lips are even worse.. there are so many lines to duplicate - you did it wonderfully.. beautiful, as always! ^^

This is incredible work... her lips are absolutely perfect, and you can see her personality coming through her eyes. Very smooth and realistic. The only thing I can see, since you're asking for advanced critique, is that her right eye (our left) has a very bright white to it, whereas the other does not, even though it is closer to the light source (as I see it). Also her left eye (our right) seems a bit flatter than the other portions of the portrait. Her lips and nose are amazing, though. Very photorealistic. You have done a fantastic job, and should be extremely proud.
